Olympic Games Los Angeles 1984 - 150 fils

The 1984 Summer Olympic Games, officially known as the Games of the XXIII Olympiad, took place in Los Angeles, California, from July 28 to August 12, 1984. Marked by a major Soviet-led boycott involving fourteen Eastern Bloc nations, the Games nevertheless achieved widespread acclaim for their innovative corporate sponsorship model, operational efficiency, and a then-record participation of 140 nations. For Bahrain, the 1984 Games represented a historic milestone as the nation’s debut appearance at the Olympic Games following the recognition of the Bahrain Olympic Committee by the IOC in 1979. Bahrain sent a delegation of ten athletes competing across four sports: athletics, modern pentathlon, swimming, and shooting, formally integrating the small Gulf nation into the global Olympic movement.
