The Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Centre was inaugurated in 1988 as one of Bahrain's most significant religious and cultural institutions. Named after Ahmed Al-Fateh, the founder of modern Bahrain, the centre was established to serve as a major place of worship while also promoting Islamic education, scholarship, and community activities.
The opening of the centre marked an important milestone in Bahrain's religious and architectural development. Over time, the complex became one of the country's best-known landmarks and an important destination for visitors interested in Bahrain's history, culture, and Islamic heritage.
