Commissioning of the arab shipbuilding and repair shipyard - 80 fils

Issued in 1977, this stamp commemorates the inauguration of the Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard Company (ASRY) in Bahrain. Established as a joint venture among several Arab countries, ASRY was created to provide ship repair, shipbuilding, and marine engineering services for the growing maritime industry of the Arabian Gulf.
