Admission to the UN and the Arab League - 120 fils
This commemorative stamp set was issued by the State of Bahrain in 1972 to celebrate a landmark diplomatic achievement: the nation’s formal admission into both the League of Arab States and the United Nations. Following its declaration of independence in August 1971, Bahrain moved swiftly to cement its sovereign standing on the global stage, officially joining the Arab League on September 11, 1971, and becoming the 129th member state of the UN on September 21, 1971.
